UNIFYING THE VOICES OF HYDROPOWER
WG1 WHITE PAPER PRESENTATION - Hydropower's key role in flexibility and storage for a safe, clean and secure european power system - today and tomorrow
The European energy transition relies heavily on the rapid expansion of wind and solar generation. While essential for decarbonisation, these variable renewable sources introduce challenges to grid stability and security of supply. Flexibility and storage are becoming indispensable, and hydropower is uniquely positioned to deliver both.
To explore these issues, ETIP HYDROPOWER Working Group 1 has developed a White Paper offering expert insights and recommendations for policymakers, researchers, and industry stakeholders. This webinar will present the highlights of the White Paper, share key findings, and discuss implications for policy and future R&D.
