Anton Schleiss from the ETIP HYDROPOWER Coordination team was invited to the present an one hour keynote lecture at the 12th East Asian Dam Conference (EADC) during the International Symposium on Sustainable Development and Management of Dams and Reservoirs for Future Generations on June 3rd 2024 in Nagoya, Japan.

In his keynote entitled "The sustainable use and extension of hydropower reservoirs is vital to ensure the energy transition" he outlined in the second part the importance of hydropower reservoirs and dams in Europe to mitigate the energy crisis and to serve as a catalyst and enabler for the Green Deal. The outcomes of HYDROPOWER EUROPE and the activities of the ongoing ETIP HYDROPOWER were presented.
