ETIPs Bioenergy, ETIP HYDROPOWER and ETIP Wind are organizing an online workshop on best practices for social acceptance of renewable energy projects on 6 November, 9:00-11:00 am CET.

This online workshop will:

• Gather experts from the wind, bioenergy and hydropower sectors to discuss common challenges and opportunities to strengthen social acceptance of renewable energy.
• Identify best practices for engaging local communities and securing their support for building or upgrading renewable energy projects.
• Share experts’ experiences in communicating the benefits of their technologies to a wider audience and addressing citizens’ concerns related to infrastructure projects, such as sustainability and biodiversity.
  

Attendees are welcome to comment, ask questions and share best practices during the two panel discussions. This is a closed door discussion for renewable energy experts held under the Chatham House Rule. The proceedings of the workshop will be compiled and shared with the European Commission and all participants.
