UNIFYING THE VOICES OF HYDROPOWER
WEBINAR: Boosting Hydropower V: Best Practices for Research with HYDRO4U, ALPHEUS and HYPOS
On 14 May 2025, from 13:30 to 15:00 CET, the latest session in the webinar series “Boosting Hydropower” will present three EU funded hydropower projects: HYDRO4U, ALPHEUS and HYPOS. Organised by the ETIP HYDROPOWER project, this session will present the outputs of three EU research projects on hydropower.
Featured Projects and Presenters:
- HYDRO4U: Daniel Hayes (BOKU University) and Bertalan Alapfy (Technical University of Munich) will introduce HYDRO4U, which aims to aimed at advancing sustainable small-scale hydropower in Central Asia.
- ALPHEUS: Miroslav Marence from IHE Delft will introduce ALPHEUS, an initiative intended to improve reversible pump/turbine (RPT) technology and civil structures to make pumped hydro storage viable in shallow seas and flat coastal areas.
